Symptoms of visual stress
Visual stress is believed to be a form of light sensitivity, made worse by bright white paper, artificial lighting, interactive white boards and computer screens.
Symptoms of visual stress which may prevent the individual from achieving their potential include:
- eye strain
- fatigue
- headaches
- difficulties with copying
- print looks different
- skipping lines or sentences
- misreading words, which limit comprehension
- slow or inefficient reading
